PURCHASE POLICIES
By making purchases from the EatForChange.com website, you agree that you have read, understand and accept the Purchase Policies. If you do not agree to these Purchase Policies, please do not make purchases from EatForChange.com. Eat For Change, Inc. reserves the right to update or amend these Purchase Policies at any time. The amended Purchase Policies shall automatically be effective five (5) days after they are initially posted on our website. Purchases after the effective date of any posted change constitute your acceptance of the amended Purchase Policies as modified by the posted changes. For this reason, we encourage you to review these Purchase Policies whenever you make a purchase from EatForChange.com. The last date these Purchase Policies were revised is set forth below.
Purchasing Supplements and Merchandise
In order to provide the freshest products at the lowest prices possible, we maintain minimal on-hand inventory, so please plan ahead when ordering. Upon order completion, you will receive an automatic confirmation email indicating that your order has been processed. We will ship your order within a week from the time the order is received, and send you an email notifying shipment.
Prices and product availability are based on information provided to us by our suppliers. Sometimes they misjudge demand, and cannot provide us with product. If certain items in your order are unavailable from our suppliers, we will contact you before shipping your order and refund your credit card for the purchase price of those items. You will have the opportunity to select replacement items to be included in your shipment.
Purchasing Services
When you use the EatForChange.com store to purchase services such as Nutrition Counseling or Diet Analysis, you will receive an automatic confirmation email indicating that your order has been processed. We will contact you within two working days to schedule your service. If you would prefer to schedule earlier, please call (1-800-880-1839).
Purchasing Downloads
When you use the EatForChange.com store to purchase downloadable products such as Mind Meals, you will receive an automatic confirmation email indicating that your order has been processed. Upon order completion, your products become immediately available for download on your "My EFC" Downloads page.
Finishing Your Order
Be sure to click on the "Submit Order" button after previewing (and printing) your order. If you do not click on "Submit", the order will not be processed. After submitting, will be immediately sent an automatic email acknowledgement of your order and will have the option to print a receipt for your records.
Payment Methods
You may use a charge card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover/NOVUS) or your PayPal account for any transaction. If you prefer to pay by check, please place your order by phone (1-800-880-1839).
Sales Tax
Residents of Illinois will be charged 2% sales tax on nutritional supplements and 9% on merchandise and educational downloads. Services such as Nutrition Counseling are not subject to sales tax.
Shipping/Handling
There is a flat $8.50 shipping and handling charge for all orders under $200 (after discounts). There are extra charges for shipping liquids over 8 oz and large powder products over 18 oz. For orders where the combined purchase total for products and services is $200 or over, the flat shipping and handling charge will be waived, though extra charges still apply.
Shipping Methods
Orders are normally shipped using DHL or USPS from Chicago, IL. We can ship by other methods: Next Day Air, Second Day Air, UPS, etc. The charge for these services will depend on the size and weight of your order, the destination, and your chosen time frame. If you want to use one of these shipping methods, please phone your order (1-800-880-1839) so that we can arrange for alternative shipping.
International Orders
Because certain countries have import restrictions, we do not currently ship supplements or merchandise internationally. If you are interested in ordering these items, please contact us by phone (1-800-880-1839) or email (using the Contact section of our website) to see if arrangements can be made.
Discounts
We offer 20% off our Integrated Nutrition Program for clients referred by any provider listed in our Resources section. In order to claim this discount, please ask your provider to contact us via phone, email, or fax. We will then contact you for program purchase and scheduling.
Existing clients who refer new clients can deduct $25 per referral from the cost of their follow-up visits. If you refer 4 new clients then your follow-up visit is free. If you are an existing client who has sent us referrals, please contact us to schedule your follow-up appointments.
Returns/Guarantees
Supplements and Merchandise may be returned only if in resalable condition, within 30 days of purchase, with a copy of your receipt. Products are non-refundable if they have been opened, damaged, or written upon. All returns must be pre-authorized. You will be responsible for return shipping cost on resalable items. Returns are also subject to a 15% restocking fee. If an item you receive is damaged, you may return it for replacement within 30 days of purchase, with a copy of your receipt. You will be reimbursed for return shipping costs of damaged items, please include a copy of your shipping receipt as well. We will ship replacement items, at no cost to you, once the returned items have been received. Perishable products (refrigerated items) are not returnable; downloads are not returnable.
Our intention is to help people feel satisfied and empowered by their diet and nutrition knowledge. If you find at the end of our time together that you are not completely satisfied with the Nutrition Counseling Services you received, we will gladly refund your Service costs. Please note that you will be excluded from follow-up programs and further discounts.
Hours
Eat For Change is open from 9 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, and from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday. We are closed on Sunday. Times are Central (Chicago).
